Here are a few of our favorite pictures from our time at the pumpkin patch in Seguin.

Grams and Grandad's Visit
Joshua's parents came to town this weekend for a look at our Seguin life. We gave them the grand tour of Pape's pecan house, a few historical markers and a trip to Gruene. Lots of food and fun is always to be had when Grandad and Grams a.k.a."Gramsies the Great" come to town! :) Thanks for stopping by and joining us for a weekend tour. Miss you already!

Pape Pecan House
I took the sprouts on our first field trip in Seguin to Pape's Pecan House.
They ship out hundreds of thousands of pounds of pecans every year from this tiny little shop.
With a nutcracker museum and with the hopes of finding a new favorite treat from this unique shop the sprouts and I were ready for the trip.
I loved the signs in the window that say "Please drive slowly, our squirrels don't know one nut from another." and " Welcome to the nut house."
Apparently it was a little too bright outside for the sprouts.
Check out that sound structure of the bench. :)
So many fun goodies in this shop that it made it hard to choose what to purchase this time around. From local honey that looked the color of molasses (the color I found out is determined by the type of flowers the bees pollinate from) to honey butter and a variety of nuts, pecan oil, jams, jellies and salsas.

Our New Home
Here is the house that God has provided for us to live in after we finish the PC.The rent house has 3 bedrooms, living room, bath, kitchen, garage and a big back yard.
It's located in an established neighborhood in old town Seguin and is across the street from the public library. Won't that be fun to walk to story time on Wednesday mornings. =)
This is a picture of one of the bedrooms.I love the fact that the house has no carpet but only hardwood and tile floors.
Perfect for little kids.
Here is a picture of the big backyard. It has so much potential for the Jordan kids and any others we pick up or who visit along the way.Can you see the sand box, pool, hide and go seek, grill, swing set, freeze tag and football being played out here? Makes you want to come and visit us doesn't it? =)
Thank you Amy for taking the pics for us!

Seguin Texas
We had a great time on our trip to Seguin the first weekend of August to see our church family once more before we left for the PC. They showered us with love from a BBQ dinner after church to a basket full of snacks and fun things to take to the PC. But what blessed us most of all has been their excitement and joy for us to come and be a part of their church family.
We are looking forward to our internship there.
