Chocolate Pie A' la Floor

You know you serve a great group of people when upon arriving for Care Group, you drop the dessert face down on the floor and after everyone gets over their shock and disappointment, they vow to still eat it because of the 5 second rule. Good thing it was still frozen when it kissed the floor. Thanks guys!

Playing Guitar

The Hughes family invited our Care Group over to their house for lunch on Sunday. Eric and Marie Hughes are joining us this year at the PC and we have been blessed to get to know them better through CG and our Fellowship Group meetings. Eric was very kind to let Sydney and Noah strum his guitar and they both thought it was the funnest thing in the world as the pictures will show.

One of the sprouts would strum the guitar and that would send them both
into hysterical laughter.

Noah would throw his arms up in the air and fall back laughing on the couch.

Sydney loved dancing her fingers on the strings.

It was so much fun to watch them laugh and play with Eric.
Thank you Hughes family for opening up your home to us and for loving our sprouts the way you do.

Care Croup

We had our first CG meeting last night with Gary and Betsy Ricucci in their home. It was a wonderful night of biblical fellowship and care for each other. The night started out with Songhwan and Miran Kang (they are from South Korea) sharing their testimony on how they met the Lord and each other. It was humbling and worshipful to hear what God has done in them as individuals and as a couple to bring them here to the PC.

We then went around the room and answered the question "What has been one of our richest experiences of God's grace since arriving and participating in the PC?" Joshua and I answered by saying that we have been very blessed in our host family. We new it would be hard on our children to leave behind family and friends that they have known since there life began. But what we didn't know is that God had planned for us to have built in family here. Sydney and Noah love Mr. Paul and Mrs. Lauren. And Mr. Paul and Mrs. Lauren love them. To give just a glimpse this morning at breakfast Mr. Paul came up stairs to give the kids a hug before he left for work. Noah kept talking about it all morning. "Mr. Paul gave me a hug!"

Gary and Betsy asked some great questions to care for our marriages. Each couple shared where they were in the greatest need of change. It was a very convicting and encouraging time of biblical fellowship.

The night ended with Gary encouraging us with the gospel and praying for us. Joshua and I both left feeling refreshed, encouraged and hopeful to see what God is going to do in our marriage over the next 10 months while we are here. Please pray for us to grow in our love for God and each other in this season.
